Men's Softball
The FBCF Softball Ministry exists to be Christian examples to others while enjoying the game of softball. We want to be able to invite friends and neighbors to come play, have a great time and get to know some of the great Christian people we have at FBCF. As an outreach opportunity, it is a fantastic way to get to know new people and for new people to get to know us. Our roster is currently large enough to support 3 full teams! The teams are divided loosely based on relationships or Mix class memberships. The current 3 teams are as follows:
The Goodfellas:
Coached by Greg Lowery, this team is made up of mostly young single adults and a few young married adults with a few family and friends mixed in.
The Posse:
Coached by Moe Mays, this is the team that was created when we started getting too large for only one team. Several church staff members and their family members are on this team as well as many of their friends.
The Fellowship of the Swing:
Coached by John Ellisor, this is our newest team which spawned from the quick growth of our young married membership. Most of the players on this team are in a young married Mix class or are friends of people in those classes.
We like to win games as much as anyone, but we mainly just want to have a good time and enjoy some great fellowship. All players are welcome, there is no tryout. There are no skill-set requirements for coming out and joining us.
Amazing softball ability is NOT required to come play with us. We enjoy the fellowship as much as the competition.
