Preteens are a great group of kids that have a special place at First Baptist Church Friendswood! We like to provide our preteens with a "mini youth group" experience each week. For this reason we offer special fellowships and Sunday School formatted similar to Student Ministry yet relevant to preteens.

Worship

Preteens attend the 9:30 DOWNPOUR (Contemporary) Service. Preteen Sunday School meets during the 10:50 hour providing meaningful and relevant lessons for the preteen boy and girl.

Music and Drama

The Shout Zone includes an exciting program of Music and Drama for children in grades 1-6 (school year only) every Sunday at 4:00pm.

Boys & Girls Clubs (formerly RAs and GAs)

B.A.S.I.C. Training (Becoming A Servant in Christ) for boys

D.I.V.A.S. (Devoted Individuals Vowing Allegience To The Son) for girls

Bible Skills Drills and Thrills is offered as a part of DIVAS and BASIC Training as an option...this is designed for 4-5 graders and is a great way to gain Bible Skills while having lots of fun!

These clubs meet Sunday evenings from 5:00pm to 7:00pm and learn about Southern Baptist Missionaries around the world and do hands-on mission work. BASIC Training and DIVAS also has a time each week for gender specific activities. For example girls learn to sew, cook, and have craft time while boys learn mechanics, sports, etc. Please send a snack supper each week with your child.

Preteen Fellowships

 Join other 5th and 6th graders each month for a fun activity and a chance to meet new friends!!
