Prison Ministry

Our vision for the First Baptist Friendswood Prison Ministry is to bring significant truth to offenders learning their significance through relationship with Jesus Christ.

• WHO the prison population both Christian and non-Christian
• WHERE of the southwestern side of the Greater Houston Area
• WHAT to teach biblical manhood and biblical womanhood,
• HOW through recurring Bible studies in small group settings
• WHY to equip them with knowledge of their identity in Christ.

Past: From a fifty year history (1955-2005) of being a missional church has sprung a new offshoot that has never been done through FBCF.

Present: Prison mInistry in the southeastern area of Houston began in January 2008, serving female offenders in a minimum security facility through planned Bible studies.

Future: The volunteer base has grown and will continue to require individuals who want to serve women during their confinement from society.
