West Africa
2008 Team
The West Africa Mission Team has made it back fromNiger safe and sound. We thank everyone who prayed for us, contributed financially or bought the goodies we took to the missionaries. As our Boeing 767 was cruising high above the Atlantic Ocean, I couldn't help looking at the vast world below me and thinking of all the people who don't know Jesus. Having just returned from Niger, one of the darkest places on earth, my heart has been crying out for the lost souls of the world. Since my first trip to Niger, God has placed a great burden and desire on my heart for missions. I can think of no greater call than to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the world to people who have not heard of God, much less the birth, death and resurrection of Jesus.
As I ponder what a church on missions would look like, a feeling of excitement grows within me as I realize what impact FBCF could have on the lost world. With all our resources, imagine what would happen if our church committed to taking the Gospel to people who have no clue who Jesus is? I realize we can't all travel and we can't all give financially, but there IS something you can do. So I ask, as our world is groping in darkness trying to find God, will you be a part of this? Are you willing to make the sacrifice necessary to facilitate the spreading of the Gospel? Then pray and consider our opportunity to impact our world in ways that are much bigger than we are. Our church is
blessed with many things and in many ways. I pray that He will use us as a vessel in which His name is glorified throughout His world. If you'd like to learn more about missions or go on a short term missions project, email me at . I am excited about what God has in store for us as we act in faith and obedience to His call of more mission opportunities through FBCF.
The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into the harvest field. (Matthew 9:37). Who will go?
